Hi. My name is Erik and I am from Southern California. In Los Angeles I studied rhetoric and studio arts at Loyola Marymount University. Currently, I’m a MFA candidate at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston in affiliation with Tufts University.
I am a member of ABC Artists’ Books Cooperative, founded by Joachim Schmid.

Portable Barong, 19” x 26 1/2”, Offset Print with Handwritten Text, Edition of 250, 2010
In Balinese mythology the Barong is a lion-like creature that protects humanity from evil. This hero-spirit is represented in ritual dance, painting and sculpture. In sculptural form, carved from wood, the Barong is a domestic guardian. Placed in one’s home facing the entryway, the Barong keeps evil spirits from entering.
